- Designation of a Responsible Person (RP)
Every cosmetic product marketed in the EU must have a Responsible Person (RP) based in the EU. This can be the manufacturer, the importer or an external distributor. - Assessment of the composition, label and claims of the product
- Conducting a Safety Assessment
- Preparation of a Product Information File (PIF)
The technical file contains all the necessary information and analyses (challenge & stability tests) about the product. - Declaration to the European Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP)
Before the product is placed on the market, an online declaration must be made to the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP)
