Safety Assessment (Cosmetic Safety Assessment)
Safety Assessment (Cosmetic Safety Assessment)
The Safety Assessment is one of the fundamental requirements for the lawful placement of cosmetic products on the European market, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009. Its purpose is to scientifically demonstrate that a cosmetic product is safe for human use and fully complies with the applicable European regulatory requirements before being placed on the market.
The assessment is carried out by a qualified Safety Assessor, who evaluates all available scientific data relating to the product’s composition, ingredients, intended use and exposure, resulting in the preparation of the official Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR).
